Q&A regarding IPv6 Feature of Jaguar5000
1. Dual Stack to support IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously? Ans) Jaguar Cache Server can support IPv4 and IPv6 at the same time
2. Method to support IPv6 -Native IPv6, mapped IP supported, -Tunneling IPv6 such as 6to4, teredo are supported -Most methods commonly used for IPv6 are also supported by Jaguar Cache Server -Tunneling method for Internal IP users of teredo : NAT to use IPv6 is supported -6to4: ipv4->ipv6, ipv6->ipv4 -mapped IP: ip Mapping to support 6to4 -168.128.100.10 -> ::ffff:192.128.100.10
3) Optimization - DNS: If IPv6 has priority to IPv4, routing can cause latency by taking a detour route and the number of stand-by sessions can increase because IPv6 is still not generally used. Therefore, in Jaguar System, IPv4 still has a priority to IPv6 to ensure the optimized performance under the current situation that IPv6 is still not settled world-widely.
4) Possibility to cause latency because of Packet Delay + Any influence on performance of caching operation in Jaguar System by IPv6 -Since 32 bit address shall change to 128 bit address, the device or machine that needs to address conversion such as IP Hashing can induce latency - Can slightly influence on the performance of switch (128 bit address conversion)
